The Light of Love<\/strong><\/h4>

How will I believe now<\/p>

in the power of love<\/p>

when it has been reduced<\/p>

to a lonely moth’s candle<\/p>

burning at both ends?<\/p>

After countless philosophies<\/p>

after so many war trophies<\/p>

after endless climate atrophies,<\/p>

how will I sing the symphony<\/p>

of mutual affection<\/p>

that primary cause of existence<\/p>

when I am dithering<\/p>

on the edge of extinction?<\/p>

Will I turn to the silvery streaks<\/p>

traversing the blue vastness,<\/p>

the waves of cosmic entanglement,<\/p>

the eyes of the innocents,<\/p>

or my Love’s healing heart<\/p>

for they all emanate light<\/p>

and challenge my raw fears?<\/p>

Oh, I will embrace them all,<\/p>

and make them<\/p>

my rhymes and reasons<\/p>

for survival and revival.<\/p>

Like ecstatic lovers and mystics<\/p>

will I then whirl around,<\/p>

immerse myself in the light<\/p>

for the light will inspire love<\/p>

and love will spread the light.<\/p>

I will follow my restless soul<\/p>

to wander into<\/p>

space and time<\/p>

seek the source of my energy –<\/p>

mysterious and ineffable,<\/p>

yet pulsating in all my being,<\/p>

accessible, yet inaccessible,<\/p>

visible, yet invisible – all at once.<\/p>

I will cling to the light of love<\/p>

with all my heart<\/p>

with all my being –<\/p>

forever and forever.<\/p>
