To Be Happy<\/strong><\/h4>

We have to learn to live with the vagaries<\/p>

and\u00a0 infirmities of time\u2019s tide that dog us.<\/p>

Dissentions, resentments and protests too<\/p>

won\u2019t take one anywhere but for the vale<\/p>

of despair, despondency, helplessness,<\/p>

perhaps, cynicism too here in life\u2019s dale.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

We\u2019re like a speck of dust flying in air<\/p>

before Time and Nature \u2013 make dance to its tune<\/p>

and left as insignificant dot on globe.<\/p>

Neither Spring, nor Summer; neither sun, nor shade<\/p>

bring comfort and exuberance in\u00a0 man\u2019s doom<\/p>

when hailstorm ravages harvest without,<\/p>

and farmer sits with blood in his eyes and gloom.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

To be happy and cheery on this Earth<\/p>

look at the objects of Nature\u2014 plants and birds:<\/p>

nev\u2019r protest the vagaries of fluid Time.<\/p>

These dog ev\u2019r happy and loyal to master<\/p>

whether it gets something or not from him.<\/p>

It ever welcomes him with flowers in eyes,<\/p>

rainbows in heart even in days slimy and slim.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

No Tears<\/strong><\/h4>

Head and heart<\/p>

hurt stood stunned<\/p>

to hear the death.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Eyes stare in void<\/p>

search for five elements<\/p>

Earth to sky.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Emotions stilled<\/p>

tears reluctant<\/p>

lake lies frozen.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Sojourn short<\/p>

toil for fruit<\/p>

covet proximity.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Shed no tears<\/p>

hail karmic crafts<\/p>

when enjoyed this earth.<\/p>
