nobody ever tries to relate<\/p>

the rosy things in their life<\/p>

to the good things<\/p>

they may have done<\/p>

in a previous birth<\/p>

like empathy and charity<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0everyone seems addicted<\/p>

to the habit of tracing<\/p>

their present adversity<\/p>

to the bad things<\/p>

they might have committed<\/p>

in an earlier life<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

I don’t understand<\/p>

why I in my wildest fancy<\/p>

haven’t dreamt of the prospect<\/p>

of a promotion to a better life<\/p>

in the next birth or later<\/p>

and eventual riddance<\/p>

of the curse of karma<\/p>

this nonchalance afterall<\/p>

may be my karma<\/p>

already scripted in my genome<\/p>

you want to admire<\/p>

and be admired<\/p>

you want to love<\/p>

you want to hug<\/p>

you want to kiss<\/p>

and be kissed<\/p>

when these don’t happen<\/p>

you want to hate<\/p>

and be hated<\/p>

you want to kick<\/p>

and be kicked<\/p>

you want to kill<\/p>

and be killed<\/p>

the world isn’t kind<\/p>

to anyone<\/p>

especially to those<\/p>

who seek kindness<\/p>

no cheer<\/p>

but only tears<\/p>

in every eye<\/p>

dancing devilishly<\/p>
