Fanciful as well as artful<\/p>\n

Away from outer senses<\/p>\n

As a concealed treasure<\/p>\n

Musings dawn<\/p>\n

At the sight inspiring<\/p>\n

And undergo poetic prowess<\/p>\n

In the poet\u2019s mind for a poem<\/p>\n

With Beauty for readers\u2019 gaiety<\/p>\n

Like a sculpture that has form<\/p>\n

When chiselled in the skill<\/p>\n

In the imaginative process<\/p>\n

In the mind of a sculptor<\/p>\n

Like the texture of a filigree<\/p>\n

With the variety of threads<\/p>\n

Interwoven to shine<\/p>\n

In the rainbow tinctures<\/p>\n

In the mind of a weaver,<\/p>\n

Like the earth in creation,<\/p>\n

For the mirth of flora and fauna<\/p>\n

The creator knows wonders<\/p>\n

In the imaginative process<\/p>\n

The sculpture of musings,<\/p>\n

Risen from the poet\u2019s mind,<\/p>\n

In the poem, the word picture<\/p>\n

Gushed from the pen.<\/p>\n

Musings are shaped into a poem<\/p>\n

Like a sculpture from rock<\/p>\n

Like an ornament from gold<\/p>\n

Like a goblet from clay.<\/p>\n

Good Hearts<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love to see the people<\/p>\n

With good hearts<\/p>\n

They wish human welfare,<\/p>\n

The progress of human race<\/p>\n

They are truth lovers<\/p>\n

To say that a spade is a spade,<\/p>\n

No hypocrisy, no guise<\/p>\n

No appearance, no fancy-dress show<\/p>\n

Ony real colours to glow<\/p>\n

To be away from deception.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I love those who love nonviolence<\/p>\n

That detests fears and tears<\/p>\n

That hates bloodshed,<\/p>\n

Mass killings, massacres<\/p>\n

That bestows on life peace<\/p>\n

The principle of humanity<\/p>\n

Human distinction<\/p>\n

Its love for mankind<\/p>\n

That conquers the mission<\/p>\n

The real achievement of man.<\/p>\n

Real justice is social justice<\/p>\n

Built with the bricks<\/p>\n

Of liberty, equality and fraternity<\/p>\n

Liberty is not to do violence<\/p>\n

It is not to hurt others\u2019 feelings<\/p>\n

Equality in all walks of life<\/p>\n

Not just with the right to vote<\/p>\n

Fraternity is love for all<\/p>\n

To enrich their happiness<\/p>\n

And enjoy their progress.<\/p>\n

Musings Like Lightning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Musings dawn in my mind for full delight,<\/p>\n

For beauty and truth, they are singular,<\/p>\n

Like lightning in the welkin to shine bright.<\/p>\n

Musings sing like cuckoos in spring topflight,<\/p>\n

Spread scent and glitter in lovely colour,<\/p>\n

Musings dawn in mind for my full delight<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

All seem to transport me to their full sight,<\/p>\n

On their wings to the world spectacular,<\/p>\n

Like lightning in the welkin to shine bright.<\/p>\n

All feast like rainbows through drops in sunlight,<\/p>\n

I tend to pen them in verse popular,<\/p>\n

Musings dawn in mind for my full delight,<\/p>\n

All, flashing in mind in the speed of light,<\/p>\n

Seem to flee in their mood particular,<\/p>\n

Like lightning in the welkin to shine bright.<\/p>\n

But musings are bubble-spanned in their plight,<\/p>\n

They vanish soon like the strange traveler,<\/p>\n

D., Professor of English by profession and poet, short story writer, novelist, writer, critic and translator by predilection, has to his credit 64 books of all genres and 638 publications of poems, short stories, articles and translations published in journals, books and anthologies of high repute. He has so far written 3672 poems (including 1512 haiku) and published them in 22 anthologies, 200 short stories in 9 anthologies, 9 novels 27 skits.
