Woman Today

 Setaluri Padmavathi

Like a huge mountain to the wind

As a shielding earth to the living

And like a soft rose hugging thorns

She protects you as an angel.

She knows not malicious deeds

She seals not the heart with a veil

And she speaks not the worries

She cares for you as a mother!

She was confined to the house then,

She is an adventurous explorer now

She was meek and fearful once,

She is wise, bold and challenging now!

One weapon opened gateways

Thoughts changed, life altered

A woman in every field rocks today,

She changed in passing moments!

Change in lifestyle brought her life,

As a role model, she plays many roles

She’s empowered, enriched and enhanced

Yes, a woman wears many hats and feathers.
