Turmoil Within

 

Every one wants a safe haven 

where he could sit in silence;

Life is full of fire and fumes, no nook 

and corner offers him any escape

from the chaos that surrounds him, 

the noise that never ceases.

A world that’s moving fast, leaving 

him breathless and worn out.

 

In this maelstrom of emotions, 

he searches for a peaceful shore

a place where he can anchor his 

soul, and calm the raging storm.

But like a mirage, it vanishes, 

leaving him parched and dry

longing for a drop of solace, 

a respite from the burning sky.

 

In this turmoil within, 

he struggles to find his footing.

A sense of balance, 

a glimpse of hope, 

a chance to start anew

But till then, he’ll wander, 

lost in the labyrinth of his mind,

searching for a safe haven, 

a place to call his own, 

and leave his worries behind.
