Veer  Lachhit Borphukan

 Arbind Kumar Choudhary

Borphukan is a man of  infantry

Who adds insult to injury

For the sake of landside victory

Amidst many an empty flattery ?

‘My uncle is not greater than my country’

Speaks volumes about  his pyrrhic victory

For the lap of luxury

Amidst many an gooseberry ?

He is a young man in a hurry

Who turns the century for the success story

Of Tom, Dick and Harry

Amidst many a world weary ?

How can one love his  gentry of victory

Amidst many a light fingered gentry ?

The Mother

Arbind  Kumar Choudhary

The Nourisher is the fairy god mother

Who keeps body and soul together

For the queen’s weather

Amidst many a settled weather  ?

This Goddess  is the holy mother

Who sets up her house together

From smoke in to smother

Amidst many a get together  ?

This sacrificer is the celestial mother

Who puts two and two together

In one way and another

Amidst many a Giridhar ?

How can one  hanker after this bird watcher

Amidst many a  heavenly mother  ?
