Dr. Dalip Khetarpal

Founder and Executive Director, Afflatus Creations

A Note from the Founder

My appreciation of young writers, especially from Tamil Nadu state or elsewhere, is
therefore not simply praise for what they have already achieved. It is an acknowledgment
of what they may yet become. To encourage a young voice is to nurture the literature
of tomorrow

Rajiv Khandelwal

Chief Advisor, Afflatus Creations

A Note from the Chief Advisor

The Young Voices platform is committed to giving every participating young writer a published
voice. Accordingly, all eligible submissions received for the National Poetry and Short Story
Writing Competition 2026 are carried in this anthology, including a small number of poems and
short stories whose content does not directly engage with the given theme of Nature.

Dr. A. Arun Daves

Assistant Professor of English - Department of English, Jawahar Science College, Neyveli, Tamil Nadu

A Note from Dr. A. Arun Daves

As a writer, I know the small fear that comes before writing the first line. We wonder
whether our words are good enough, whether anyone will read them, whether what we feel
is worth putting down. But a writer writes because something within asks to be expressed,
and it does not wait for permission.

through the branches in thin golden rays. A narrow river travelled through the forest, singing over
stones before disappearing beyond the hills.
